30th Birthday Ideas: How to Make a 30th Birthday Card

A thirtieth birthday marks another milestone in an individual's life. Thus, it would be very nice to give your 30-year old celebrant something that he will surely love, remember and treasure. There are vast array of choices that can suit as a gift: from a new pair of shoes to a pair of jewelries. However, would it be nice to give something that will surely make your celebrant laugh and smile because of your gift's goodness? Think no further, a simple homemade card can do the work.

Make a collage. Have at least 30 to 50 pieces of pictures of your celebrant over the years. If it would be possible for you to have at least one photograph for each year in his life, better. Arrange them into a collage, and fill the entire front flap of your card. Add some decorations that will frame your collage or you may choose some embellishments that speak of each stage in his life, like baby mittens or a cut out of elementary bag. You may want to have them chronologically arranged from his baby years up to present. Then add a one liner that says something like "The evolution of ". You may use the photo editing tools like Photoshop to help you lay out these pictures in your card, or you may manually arrange them by gluing them together. If you choose to glue them, make sure you keep the original copies of these photographs.

You may also select two favorite photos of your celebrant from his childhood and recent years and then create a comic or caricature out of them For example, you may choose to cut the head of the photo when he was ten years old and attach it to a caricature body of an elementary kid. Then have another recent photo of his on the other side. Place a thought bubble above the two pictures, each saying out their thoughts about reaching the age of 30. It can be something similar to these "By 30, I will be a Millionaire, a young executive with great accomplishment" and "Oh no, I'm already 30!?!"
