Printable Birthday Cards: Getting a Perfect Gift for Your Wife

Choosing the right gift for your wife's birthday may be one of the most difficult things you could ever do for her. A birthday card may be your best option, as it easily communicates the sentiments you have. However, choosing the right greeting card can be tricky as well. Here are some points to consider when you searching for a birthday card for your wife.

1. Know the mood that you would want to leave to your wife when you give your gift. Do you want her to feel romanticized or do you want her to feel light hearted? Do you want her to have a smile on her face all day long? An identified mood will help you trim down the gift you may want to give her, as each gift can convey different moods to your wife.

2. Choose your gift according to the mood that you want her to experience. A bouquet of roses or a gift of jewelry can be romantic. While a recording of a comedy bar night out or even a video of her friends can be humorous.

3. Once you have chosen your gift, you may now choose your card. Make sure that the theme of the card that you choose reflects the same mood as that of your gift. There are several options available in your local book shop that you will be overwhelmed even if you do a last minute buying of a greeting card. You will also notice that readymade cards which have designs and embellishments around are more expensive than plain ones, whereas you can do the same ones of better quality at home for cheaper cost.

4. When choosing a card, identify the size that you want your card to be like. Do you want to give her a very big card? Or do you just want to give her a small one so as not to overshadow your other gift? The message you are considering to write may also contribute to the size of the card that you may want to buy.

5. Get a card that has enough space for you to write your own personal message. A card that has full of romantic poems or anecdotes inside may be sweet, but remember, it is always your personal feelings and thoughts that are well-remembered and treasured by your wife.

6. Imagine your wife's reaction when she opens the card. If you like the reaction that you had when you first held that card and you believe that she will also most likely react the same way, and then go for it. Otherwise, look for another one.
